Last week, a major success story reached us from across the ocean: our Conical Dough Divider and Rounder passed its final onsite trial with flying colors!
As the video rolled, showing tray after tray of perfectly plump, round dough balls, the client couldn't hide their excitement: "If it weren't for Ping’s persistence, I don't think I could have found the right equipment in China at all."
Behind that success was a months-long "uphill battle" involving seven trials, five recipe adjustments, at least three major equipment iterations, and an international field inspection.
1. The Pain Point: Eliminating the "Flatness" Issue
The client’s struggle began with traditional equipment. Their old three-roller system produced pineapple bun dough that consistently turned out flat, failing to meet their standards for both aesthetics and texture. Furthermore, the new machinery had to integrate seamlessly with their existing tray-alignment machine—a requirement that demanded exceptional compatibility.
2. The Breakthrough: Precision Customization
To solve these challenges, Ping’s team proposed a strategic shift: replacing the old setup with a high-performance Dough Divider + Conical Rounder combo.
Dough Divider (3P): Covers a 20g–110g weight range with a massive output of 5,400 units/hour (thanks to a triple-lane discharge that doubles efficiency).
Conical Rounder: Supports a wide range from 20g to 500g, with a capacity of 7,600 units/hour—a perfect match for the divider.
To ensure the equipment thrived in its new environment, we incorporated two key design features:
Voltage Matching: We installed professional-grade transformers to protect the machinery from local voltage fluctuations, ensuring stable performance.
Seamless Integration: We custom-built an elevated metal base with pre-drilled holes matching the client’s original caster positions. This allowed the client to "bolt and go," integrating our machine with their tray-aligner without any additional modifications.
3. The Refinement: Perfecting the Recipe
Why did we adjust the recipe five times? This was the most challenging part of the project, but also where we provided the most value. As a rising star in the baking industry, the client had high standards for taste but was still refining their technical dough formulations.
Recipe adjustments are a delicate balancing act: the dough must be firm enough for the machine to round it smoothly, but soft enough to maintain a premium, airy texture. Our pastry engineers worked tirelessly to find the "sweet spot." After five rounds of rigorous testing, we finally achieved the "Holy Trinity": the perfect synergy between recipe, machinery, and finished product.
4. The Delivery: Service Beyond the Sale
Our commitment didn't end when the crates were loaded. After a month-long journey across the sea, the equipment arrived at the client’s factory. Ping’s team provided a comprehensive support package, combining remote guidance with onsite expertise to walk the client through installation and wiring.
From fine-tuning the divider weights to maintaining the rounding modules and optimizing the mixing process, our after-sales engineers shared everything they knew. We even shared a few "pro-tip" baking techniques to help their products stand out in a competitive market.
